Crispell Brothers Receive Scout Awards

Brothers Raymond E and John R Crispell Jr, of Lake Katrine,
members of Boy Scout Troop 6 of Kingston, received their branch of scouting's
highest award, the rank of Eagle Scout, at special award ceremonies.
Raymond, a past staff member at the Boy Scout Camp Tri-Mount
and currently a member of Venture Crew 38, is a graduate of Kingston High
School, a member of Ulster County Civil Air Patrol and an airman first class in
the Air National Guard stationed at Stewart Airport in Newburgh (NY).
He received his Eagle award first and then acted as master of
ceremonies at his brother's Eagle ceremony.
John, a graduate of Kingston High School and the Ulster BOCES
culinary studies program, a former Camp TriMount staff member and Ulster County
Civil Air Patrol member, is president of Venture Crew 38. For his Eagle project,
he refurbished a minipark in the Halcyon Park neighborhood of the town of
Ulster.
Both John and Raymond are recipients of the Gen. Billy Mitchell Award through
the Ulster County Civil Air Patrol. They are the sons of John and Marie Crispell
of Lake Katrine.
Troop 6 is sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Kingston.
